The Yolé! Africa cultural centre in eastern Congo promotes peace through music, film, art, and dance and provides hundreds of disadvantaged youth with the opportunity to develop their artistic talents
"More aid will not solve issues in Congo; solutions come when people learn they have the capacity to create solutions," Petna Ndaliko, founder of Yolé! Africa. Teenagers in eastern Congo have known war their entire lives. These are the next generation of leaders. Yolé provides a space for youth from all backgrounds to express themselves through art, music, and academics, providing mentorship, instruction, and technical training that helps youth believe they can change their community.
Yolé! Africa provides technical training in music, recording, sound, dance and film for youth and offers a space for artistic expression, debate, dialogue, and mentoring. Yole’s program are focused on empowering the youth of Congo to make a change.
Yolé! Africa serves more than 21383 youth annually giving them the opportunity to develop their artistic talents while providing mentoring and technical instruction, equipping the next generation of leaders with the capacity to create solutions.
