Challenge

Uganda is currently beset with rising percentage of the youth population characterized as a generation of dysfunctional with no sense of direction and purpose. These youth have shown an inclination towards societal vices caused unrest in most of the districts. We strongly believe that moral development and empowerment positively influences character development. Thus the urgent need to start with as many youth allover the country which help reduce the number of those youth inclined to vices

Solution

This project seeks to empower individuals through identity, self esteem and self actualization programs like the 'Valiant youth and the i am enough programs'. These programs provide the youth with self actualization skills, boost the esteem and help with personal judgement thus an opportunity for the youth to make positive impact in their lives and society. With this opportunity, we remove the risks of negative peer pressure , school dropout, early pregnancy and drug trafficking for the youth.

Long-Term Impact

The project thrives on continuity and the programs we have chosen as tools are delivered according to different age brackets carrying on until the youth are mature. The formation and support of integrity clubs in all schools country wide is also expected to compliment the training. The training and skills are acquired over a period of years and not a one off. The youth are expected to in turn train their peers and pass on the skills to their peers and family.
