Third Virtual Camp of 2022 was a Great Success!
AI, Machine Learning, and Robotics Virtual Camp
Thanks to donors like you, this past August, Career Girls hosted the third of six virtual camps planned for 2022. From August 2 - 5, Career Girls welcomed girls from the United States, Canada, Rwanda, and Morocco for a 4-day intensive camp focused on AI, Machine Learning, and Robotics. The 2022 camp welcomed over a dozen women experts from the Toyota Research Institute (TRI). Campers had the opportunity to engage directly with TRI's all-star lineup of women working in robotics. In an industry historically dominated by men, TRI proved that women can thrive and be leaders in AI, machine learning, and robotics. The camp generated an environment of inclusion, representation, and empowerment that was evident in the camp’s impact on the girls.
One of the most exciting parts of camp is seeing the impact of our programming in action. One of our goals is to close The Imagination Gap – the difference between career choices that girls imagine for themselves and the range of careers actually available for them to pursue based on their interests. During the AI, Machine Learning, and Robotics Virtual Camp, one camper reported that “my favorite part of camp was when the panelists shared how they got to the place they are today, it really inspired me.” Access to accomplished women role models gives girls a roadmap to success.
With your help, we’re looking forward to conducting one more virtual camp in 2022 and continuing to provide them free of charge for every girl who wants to attend. In September, we welcomed campers to our Preparing for College camp, and in October, we welcomed campers to our Cybersecurity camp. We look forward to welcoming girls to the Web3, Blockchain, and NFT camp from November 17 - 19. With your continued support, Career Girls can continue to serve girls worldwide and close The Imagination Gap. Thank you for your support!
