According to the World Bank, 896 million people still live on less than $2 per day - a population nearly three times that of the United States. By providing access to financial services and training, Opportunity is investing in sustainable, innovative solutions that equip entrepreneurs in developing economies with tools to holistically transform their lives and permanently leave poverty behind.

In developing countries, entrepreneurs face overwhelming, systemic obstacles to improving their lives. Stagnant economies, high unemployment, lack of formal jobs, inadequate infrastructure, low-quality schools and food insecurity severely limit quality of life and keep families stuck in poverty, generation after generation.

Opportunity's financial solutions include loans, savings and insurance that meet our clients' unique capital needs. Clients are using our services to improve small farms, expand local schools and grow job-creating enterprises. Opportunity is also expanding digital banking services and transformational training programs to break down geographic, literacy and gender-based barriers to financial inclusion, ensuring entrepreneurs are able to access and effectively utilize financial services.

Long-Term Impact

For 45 years, Opportunity's services have empowered hardworking individuals around the world to build sustainable businesses, increase their incomes, create jobs and lift their families and communities out of poverty. With your partnership, we can reach our goal of supporting 20 million jobs by 2020, impacting 100 million lives.
