The project Integrated Life Enhancement skill program for disadvantaged and marginalized women in Ikono and Ini Loca Government Areas of Akwa Ibom State is geared towards empowering women and youth mentally and physically to stand independent and help contribute to nation building within their quota, thereby making meaningful contribution to their societies wherein they reside. Having seen the array of suffering humanity especially women and youths, It beehives on us as organization to step up.
Women empowerment is still low in Nigeria compared to their male counterpart this is compounded by harmful traditional practices, attitudes, roles, religious belief and norms that has made women to bear enormous hardship and persistent form of inequality. Gender equality is a human right issue and women are entitled to live a dignified and qualitative life because they are an indispensable asset for development and economic growth of a nation.
The program will provide life skills that will promote better lives for women and help them cope with the growing uncertainty and the rapid changes in today's world. The project will build skills that reflect the contextual needs of women in the communities and related to lifelong learning. Women capacity and skills will be built on leadership and community development, Vocational skills, mentoring and coaching classes, exchange learning programs. This will promote lifelong skills.
Monitoring and Evaluation Plan will clearly set out the monitoring and evaluation and reporting processes and provide details of management data and indicator that will be collected and source, method, frequency, schedules of data collection. The Plan will include regular review exercise design to encourage learning improve the quality of the data and identify areas in need of revision. Review will aim to ensure that quality standard.
