The situation of Breast feeding mothers in Maizimasa Village normally depend on their husbands who have no stable income and cannot earn 1 a day and they lack access to education and information on breastfeeding, nutrition, and healthcare, making it difficult for them to make informed decisions about their health and well-being. A group of 30 Breast feeding mothers are to start with 300 chicks which in 5 months will give us 3000 chicks
Breast feeding mothers face very many challenges in their homes as most of them are being neglected by their Husbands and these households can not earn $2 a day for a living. This results into starving, Malnutrition of their babies and loss of weight due to poor feeding. Currently, in Butebo District the average of 8 mothers give birth every day and this is limiting all the capacity of community development yet most of the them cant move to look for what to feed their families.
Poultry farming will help mothers to over come these problems as we will start rearing chicken in a very small space and in our own places without moving for long distances. it will also generate income to different households as most mothers will be able to feed their families.
Increased income: Improved economic stability for breastfeeding mothers. Improved nutrition: Enhanced access to nutritious food for mothers and children. Skills development: Increased knowledge and skills in poultry farming and management. Community engagement: Stronger community support and involvement.
