We are working with 3 different communities in northern Peru where women and kids work hard for their health, education, housing, and even for their food. This is both challenging yet rewarding work because leaders and community members always work with us each step of the way. We provide a community library, community restaurants, early education for toddlers, and an enterprise program for women focused on empowerment so that they don't remain in violent relationships. Our goal is empowerment.
36% of the population of El Porvenir Peru live in extreme poverty. The most affected are children and women. The area have a 15.3% of chronic child malnutrition and high level of domestic violence. The Sayariy Projects will affect more than 2000 people living in the most farest and needed areas de la zona.
Providing business and emotional programs to women, create changes in the live and families, and help them to leave a violent relationship that affect her and their kids. Open a safe and nice community library in the area provide to the kids the opportunity to learn, read, develop creativity and challenge them to keep learning and growing.
In the short time: 100 women are developing skills, create group cohesion, emotional management, and awareness of their human rights. 1800 kids will have academic opportunities having communities libraries, Sport, art and english classes and school supplies In long term this group of women are able to apply all their knowledge into a business or a job, offer to their kids education and better future and build healthy relationships in their families and create a big impact in their communities.
