Employability Pathshala is a concept to empower students from underprivileged background with skill sets which can help them shape their future. The students who have completed basic schooling, i.e. class 8th, will be enrolled under the program and they will complete their secondary level education through open schooling, NIOS. The classes will be mix of activities, skilling sessions, computer classes, exposure visits, leadership talks and orientations.
Enhancing the employability of students from fewer privileges in building professional career by augmenting school education with employability skills, OM Foundation has initiated skilling students at a very early stage. The project focuses on completion of school education along with mentoring & tuition classes. This will be complemented with skilling so that after 4 years of intervention, the students shall be qualified and skilled enough to choose their career and lead a dignified life.
The program is designed in a way that the beneficiaries enrolled shall reach up to a level , where they can have a wide range of options to choose from. The program will be a start point for their carrier & after completing the program, it is expected that the beneficiaries will be able to get a good job and they will enroll themselves under graduation program of some Distance Learning College. The moment they complete degree program, they will have an equal work experience
The holistic approach of the project will help in bridging the gap between education & employment. The long term objective is to provide decent jobs to the beneficiaries where OM Foundation will act with various corporate bodies and institutions. The support will help the family to have first person who is a graduate and earning a decent living and changing their lives. In the first year, 100 students will be benefited & 200 more in the coming 2 years.
