Oregon HEAT Helps Many Oregonians with their HEAT!

Oregon HEAT has been very busy making sure every donation is going to help low-income families in Oregon with their emergency heating needs.    We have had one responder so far from Global Giving donate. We hope many more will see the need.  This current year we are seeing one in five households in need of emergency energy assistance.

Our fiscal period ending June 30, 2010, Oregon HEAT with the help of over 6,000 donors was able to ensure that 5,159 households across Oregon were able to stay in a warm and well-lit home.  We are on target to help at least that many households this fiscal year.  With your help we can!  Remember, every dollar that is given is added to other donations and eventually it will be enough to help a household with their emergency energy needs.  It takes approximately $109 to help just one person in Oregon with their heat and lights.  Oregon HEAT operates on the principal of "neighbor helping neighbor" If you can afford to help you neighbor, please give today!
