After more than a year, Ek Pahila Foundation has been able to successfully accomplish our mission to help Devisthan Primary School. We thank you for your support, encouragement and contribution.
Government and community schools such as Devisthan, are among the only schools in Nepal that are able to provide free education to a large mass of students who usually come from less privileged families. Besides improving the local literacy rate, such schools are also capable of training and encouraging local students to lead, manage and develop their own communities in the near future.
Here, it is important that each donor understands that their contribution is not simply benefiting a student, school, community or a village, rather, it is helping an organization like ours to improve a local system of education which in years to come will potentially provide better education and empower an entire generation.
Below listed are the accomplishments of Ek Pahila Foundation's work at Devisthan Primary School during 2011-12:
1. Permanent water supply and pavement construction
2. Classroom refurbishing
3. Balcony construction
4. Desk & Benches
5. Bathroom roofing
6. Locker for teachers
7. Agriculture project
8. Staircase and Balcony Construction
9. Adult Literacy
10. Celebration of International Women’s Day
11. Retention Wall
12. Hand-Washing campaign
