Our rural rehabilitation center has over 30 grown girls orphaned by HIVAIDS who are in secondary education level but due to financial difficulties, it may not be possible to continue their education. Our appeal is to raise funds for them to continue their education at least at secondary schools level. The project will expand our center to contain two more classes, and one dormitory for girls. The project will last for one year while to enable the girls finish their college education.
The challenge of the community is that our center has no classrooms/dormitory for orphaned girls . we need to build, Presently, there are some girls orphaned by HIVAIDS in our rehabilitation center and they are in senior secondary education . They urgently need classrooms and special dormitory for them alone which all will cost total of $45,000. These girls have been depending on the public charity to feed, attend schools, and clothes. The project will build two classrooms and one dormitory for the girls only. If the funds are made available, the girls will have a place to read and good dormitories to sleep . The project will buy cements, zinc, wood, and other furniture including feeding, clothes and study materials for the girls. Our type of training is vocational in nature to enable them gain employment after graduation or be self employed with little micro credits from us.
If the structures are put in place and the girls continue their education, it will bring development to the community and help empower the girls to avoid prostitution , bring zero HIV spread and eliminate unemployment in the community. The girls will become independent financially which empowers them to claim their human rights and have full control of their bodies, refuse under age marriage. Over 300 orphaned girls will benefit in short period while long period benefit over 10,000 rural girls
