A SECOND CHANCE FOR ALICE!
We cannot thank you enough for your continued support. Thanks to you, the lives of vulnerable girls are changing daily for the better each new day. In the last quarter, our focus was on rescuing a sixteen year old vulnerable teenage mother, Alice, who was a victim of sexual, emotional and physical abuse. Alice was lured in to sex by an older man when she was still in primary school; he took advantage of her vulnerability. He provided Alice with the basic items that she lacked like food and sanitary towels. Alice lives with her mother and two brothers in a small rented house with only one room, her mother suffers from health problems and struggles daily to put food on the table to feed everyone
Alice got pregnant when she was only 15 years old and had to drop out of school. The man subjected Alice to physical and emotional abuse and later abandoned her.
This is when Team Kenya came up to provide Alice with Psycho-Social Support as well as assisting her in seeking justice. Team Kenya has been providing counselling services to her, providing her with food and other basic necessities for her and her baby. She is attending the Vocational Training Program but really desired to go back to school.
Alice now feels more confident. She attends the Homework Club sessions to help her catch up so when she goes back to school next year, she will be up to date with what the other students are doing. Alice was able to interact with our UK volunteers during their recent visit thus further increasing her self esteem and confidence .Team Kenya is now in the process of soliciting funds to send Alice back to school. Sending her back to school will in future increase her opportunities and reduce vulnerabilities.
Please donate to help us send Alice back to school.
Your contributions will greatly change her life for the better
Help us to support Alice !
