Summary

This project will support education of 60 students and children under 3-6 years through Setup two ECE classes. Activities ECE practice through training workshop and classroom support, learning materials developing and piloting culturally appropriate curriculum guidelines for teachers. ECE classes aim to strengthen the base of a child and develop his/her interest in education at a very young age so that lower drop-out rates are seen in the future.

Challenge

A child's brains develop past at a surprisingly rapid rate during early years to lay foundations for lifelong development. In Pakistan 61% (rural) and 42% (urban) children between ages 3-6 are out of school ,Urgent need to address this problem and work towards partnerships and alliance models that incorporate necessary Early Childhood Care and Education for all. This is the most important period of one's life and if proper training and appropriate experiences are not provided.

Solution

Introduce ECE activities to school, and contribute to an improvement in the quality and delivery of ECE classes .Involved introducing appropriate ECE practice in selected school, through training workshops and classroom support; developing and piloting culturally appropriate curriculum guidelines for teachers; developing teaching and learning materials; and raising awareness through meetings on the importance of appropriate social and educational experiences for young children.

Long-Term Impact

Physical and mental development of children. Enhanced cognitive abilities due to scientifically approved techniques. Methodology that captures the interest of students of 3-5 years ensuring future enrollment in school. Reduction in the dropout ratios . Training of teachers on ECE courses. Schools being equipped with functioning ECE Class. Awareness regarding ECED practices. A small yet strong step towards public schools' involvement in Early Childhood Education
