This project help 270 orphaned girls attend school and not deterred from full participation through lack of financial means, material or psycho-social need, stigma, discrimination or any other constraints. Moreover, the out of school orphans and vulnerable girls are encouraged to return to schools or provided with appropriate educational opportunities.
The number of Orphans and Vulnerable Children (OVC) in Ohangwena Region of Namibia was recorded at 24 594 and its number is increasing. The rights of these children to education may be under threat in the light of increasing poverty, over-stretched extended families and insufficient mechanisms to ensure quality Education for young girls. major challenges facing caregivers of OVC is their inability to access education and to meet the educational needs of the children.
The project will ensure that 2700 Orphaned girls of school-going age attend school and are not deterred from full participation through lack of financial means, material or psycho-social need, stigma, discrimination or any other constraints, and to ensure that 2700 Orphaned girls of school-going age attend school and are not deterred from full participation through lack of financial means, material or psycho-social need, stigma, discrimination or any other constraints.
2700 Orphaned girls of school-going age will be able to attending and kept in school and have not been deterred from full participation through lack of financial means, material or psycho-social need, stigma, discrimination or any other constraints, and a certain number for out of schools girls will be encouraged to return to schools or provided with appropriate educational opportunities.
