Firstly, CM is a grassroots focused organisation. Secondly, girls are culturally sensitive who are rarely allowed to go to school. And, this is the reason that they do not have even opportunity in Nepalese society. Thirdly, the target group are socially and geographically outcast. Their parents are economically and educationally weak to support the education of their children. Fourthly, it is a cause of gender equality because females are forced for marriage and trafficked because of illiteracy.
Sustainable development is our prime concern. CM believes that Literacy & Education are vital. But, daughters do not have privilege for higher education. Parents are hurried to marry assuring school. But, it rarely happens because of their various roles in family. Parents are socially and financially under pressure to follow the ongoing trend. Our target is 4 villages. To raise voice, the family needs concrete evidence that is possible when daughters are assisted for education.
This projects targets girls from grade 8 to 12. Based on our assessment, about 87% stops going to school not only because they've social reasons but also the far location of the school. And, most importantly, who expect females to complete education. It is said that "females suits in households activities only" and "to serve their God (husband)". Financial aid will raise awareness and motivates them to continue going to school. The targeted 4-villages are the working district of organisation.
The project will strengthen the school going capacity of initially from 4 villages of South Lalitpur of Nepal, which will increase possibilities of quality development of the individual, family and the community.
