Personal Hygiene

REPORT ON PERSONAL HYGIENE In one of the identified area. Health is the greatest wealth. There is a saying like, If a man gains everything in this world and lost his health he is nothing gained. So as the health takes a prominent role we need to give much priority in our day to day life. Good food and house of good hygienic conditions depends on our physical and mental growth. HAO India conducted awareness on Women and Child health care on hygiene and environment. There are strong linkages between poverty and environment. Most of the target people live in areas with limited natural resources and where the environment is badly degraded. This involves promoting good practices that will enhance the environment such as sanitation, and avoiding practices that result in environmental degradation. * Emphasized on personal hygiene and skin care and as a part of program even supplied Lifebuoy soaps to our target children and parents of this area. * Lifebuoy bath soaps which is well positioned as “health and hygiene soap” and children learn through play and exploration, by touching and experiencing things. Lifebuoy soaps support children’s health and growth by providing extended germ protection for up to 12 hours after a bath with enhanced ingredients. The children and their parents were very enthusiastic in learning about personal hygienic conditions and how it creates an impact to move socially with others. Another significant event: International Women’s Day celebration on 8th March 2011: We are happy and excited to report that another significant event being International Women’s Day on 8th March 2011 organised by HAO India at one of the identified area. * Children along with their parents were in full attendance. * The parents actively participated in the celebration by playing musical chairs. They enjoyed like anything. Even children involved in this joyful event by their participation in playing musical chairs. * We distributed prizes for the winners. The community applauded for the grand success of this great event and extended their gratitude. The parents and children are ever grateful for the donors of Global giving for their generous support, love and concern towards these down trodden people of this area. All extend their gratitude from the depth of their hearts for this noble task. We once again thank the valued donors for their generous contribution towards this project. Dr.(Mrs). P. Usha Abraham CEO, RDOET (HAO India).
