Project Report | Dec 2, 2015
An Excellent 2015..THANKS TO YOU!

By Yolande Delport | Project Director

New classroom in the making
New classroom in the making

The year has flown and we are standing with one foot in summer dreams and another in a new classroom that is beaming a fresh coat of paint. We are wonderfully excited, the long awaited moment has finally arrived! The New Year will bring more space to accommodate little children more effectively, a kitchen, a place for the youngest ones to have their midmorning naps without being bombarded by flying trains and falling towers of Lego. As well as more space to accommodate digital equipment that will be used by teachers and local school children.

Funding has allowed us to continue with a nutritious feeding scheme for our 30 children and the meal programme will continue throughout the 4 week summer holiday. We are thankful to our staff members who offered to manage this programme during their summer break.

A long awaited jungle gym will be installed on January 19th. Great excitement. We can’t wait!

The story and game bags that were reported on during our previous report has officially been handed over during our Grandparents Day held on November 5th.

Generous funding has allowed for a first time trip for our little ones and staff to Addo National Elephant Park. This was a first time for our children and staff to observe these wonderful creatures in a natural habitat. A super start to celebrating our Heritage Month.

The visit to the National Park was preceded with a tree planting ceremony during which families each planted a tree sapling to contribute to our green legacy.

The continual growth of this project is thanks to likeminded people such as yourself who takes the time and valuable resources to share in places where the seeds of hope and sustainability can come to sprout and bring about the change we all are dreaming of …… a better life for all.

We wish you a festive season brimming with all you love and treasure.

Our most sincere appreciation and warmest greetings
