dear all, greeetings

Its been a hard time for everyone this year. We had to deal with various kind of hardship to maintain normal lifestyle. COVID all over the world created chaos and made the humanity difficult. Nepal which already has too many problems had to face COVID made life much more difficult. Political instability in another hand is creating a lot to push us.

Financially we were able to do almost nothing as we are out of fund. And its hard to ask any donors for donations as well. Nepal, during this period is suffering a lot so are people. We managed to do a little help to the needy people specially children as much as we could but that was nothing to their need. We are glad to find some donors for this project even during this hard time. We distributed some medicines primarily preventive, soaps, hand sanitizers and masks. We provided school dress and warm clothes to many poor children all over the Nepal. We could not made many records of our work because situaion wasn't quite good everytime.

Thank you everyone for your support.

Dear all Donors

I want to thank you all for the efforts and supports you have given to this organization even during this difficult time of worldwide pandemic of COVID19. It's in everyone knowledge that not a single country or place is safe against this pandemic. Nepal at recent days is considered as the epicenter for this chaos and new positive cases are increasing in exponential manner. Being the third world country health facilities aren't enough for everyone's reach.

Nepal Mary Child Help Center (NMCHC) stood strong and we hope it will stay so in future with the co-operation of kind peoples like you. All the member of NMCHC, childrens and staffs are safe against this pandemic till date. We are providing every children with proper sanitation, safety measures along with continious counselling from the health professionals even during the lockdown. Academic achivement of these was hampered a bit more than expected because of this pandemic. But since last months all the school started to take classes through online which is being effective. Every children are now busy taking online classes and their own kind of entertainment.

I admire for all the financial and emotional supports you have shown towards us. Please keep us in your prayer so that we all together can overcome this situation without any issues. Thank you all.

Dear all sponsers,

Hope all of you are doing well in this pandemic. It is a very hard time for all of us at the moment. We have lost many lives and we are really very scared for what is going to happen next. We have been praying for all of us across the globe. Hope this gets over way too soon.

Talking about the orphanage, we have been doing well. No school nor college at the moment but we have been spending days by staying home, doing something productive like learning instruments, cleaning houses, gardening, playing badminton. Sometimes we stay up late discussing about how live would have been if there would be no Corona Time and also what we will do as soon as this time gets over. On days like Heallth Day,Nurse's Day,Environment Day, we try to gain as much as knowledge why these days are celebrated or are marked so important.

At this time we all need to be together because every one is having a really harsh time economically and psychologically too. During this time we have been involving in helping some other orphanages as well with some amount and foods and also some economically unstable families (especially daily workers, single mothers). We also have been in contact with the other children who have reunited with their family and have been updating with their conditions and have tried to help in whatever way we can.

Through this report we would like to thank you with all our heart for your help and generosity. Hope this Covid ends sooner so we could meet up. Till then, lets stay safe and pray for all of us.

    Thank You,Stay Safe!

Best Regards.

Dear old and new friends,

Thank you all so much for your generous donations!  These past few months have been very difficult for us.  One of the youths from our center was diagnosed with a brain tumor and he is currently pass away .after surgery and other treatments.  he was dath. Your support has not only helped with food and tuition for all the children but has also helped with his medical treatments since we were able to post a mini project titled, ‘SaveA Life’, to our project site.

It has also been a time of hope and happiness as we celebrated the holiday season.  Since we are a Christian-based orphanage, we celebrated Christmas with traditions and great joy.  And our children are thriving and doing very well in school and in their special interests of music, Tae-Kwon-Do and dance.

Many of you are good friends who have visited and volunteered at Mary Home and know firsthand the needs of the children and how we struggle to maintain ourHome.  To all our donors and friends, we invite you to come visit Mary Home and would be so grateful to welcome you to our home.

In conclusion, we value the importance of education, healthy foods and a nurturing, home environment and seek to help each child have a dream and a means to reach it.  Thank you for helping us reach our goals and helping to make the life dreams of all our children come true.

Dear friends,

Thank you all so much for your generous donations! You are helping to make the life dreams of all our children come true! We just received the first check from GlobalGiving last week and are so relieved! We have worried very much about having enough money to support the children’s needs including tuition, food, clothing, special lessons, a safe, functioning house and more. We have had various donors over the years since we started Mary Home in 2007. And are so grateful to all of them. For the past 5 years a group of friends and donors from Georgia, USA, have made a huge difference in the children’s lives by sponsoring the tuition for the all the children – special thanks to all these dear friends. And now, friends and organizations who have wanted to donate but didn’t have a direct way since PayPal and other well-known portals don’t function in our part of Nepal, have a portal to support Mary Home as well. Donors from New York, Pennsylvania, Virginia and more in the US as well as donors from Europe are all helping out. Many of you are good friends who have visited and volunteered at Mary Home and know firsthand the needs of the children and how we struggle to maintain the Home. With earthquakes, bedbug issues, water problems you have all helped us. We invite you to come visit Mary Home and would be so grateful to welcome you to our home. We will be preparing reports every 3 months. As suggested By GlobalGiving, we plan to personalize the reports by highlighting a different child in each report. This time we would like to introduce you to anupa ,who is new children for mary home. she was arrived last year. (see photo). She works very hard on her studies and is exceling in all her classes at school. She likes to dance, draw and sing. Anupas’ mother dai . Her father  alcoholist and was not able to care for her. So she was removed from her father and moved from place to place before finding a steady home at Mary Home at age 6 years, She is now seven and with GlobalGiving support she is able to continue her education, live in our nice home in Kathmandu and eat a healthy diet. In spite of the hardships she has experienced, she is now a happy, talented, well-adjusted child who can look forward to a bright future. In conclusion, we value the importance of education, healthy foods and a nurturing, home environment and seek to help each child have a dream and a means to reach it. Thank you for helping us reach our goals. Much love and gratitude, Kopila, Anne and Leah
