Project #8930

Educate Girls Orphaned by HIV/AIDS in Rural Uganda

by The Nyaka AIDS Orphans Project

I am so amazed by YOU!

YOU take the time to invest in girls like Rabecca!

She may look like a normal, happy, girl but her life has been transformed by YOU!

Like all of her classmates, Rabecca has lost loved ones to HIV/AIDS. She had no hope of going to school and no chance to dream.

Because of YOU, Rabecca is a bright, young primary 3 student with a wonderful talent for drawing! and she is so grateful for the gift YOU have given her!

We hope you will join us today to make sure every little girl like Rabecca can go to school!

Today at 12:00pm Microsoft will match your donations!

50% for all one-time donations and

100% for all recurring donations!

Make your gift after 12:00pm but be sure to be quick! Matching funds go very fast!

Thank you from Rabecca and all of the little girls YOU are saving!

YOU are making a HUGE IMPACT for girls like Diphone!

Diphone is a normal 13-year-old girl beginning her last year of primary school. She is studying hard because one day she is going to be a nurse.

When she isn't learning in school or helping at home to care for her four siblings, she loves to go swimming and play with her friends.

Without YOU, this would not be Diphone's life.

Like so many other girls, she would be vulnerable to early marriage. She would have a much higher risk of sexual assault and exploitation. She would be much more likely to contract HIV/AIDS or have an unplanned pregnancy.

YOU have given Diphone and 300 girls like her a very precious gift.

Because of YOU, Diphone will be able to marry when she is ready. She will have children when she is ready. And she will be able to pursue her dreams!

Wednesday you have the chance to help more girls like Diphone!

Global Giving will be offering matches for donations over $10!

50% for one-time donations and

100% for recurring donations!

we hope you will join us Wednesday at 12:00pm to make your gift!

YOU are amazing.

YOU are giving YOUR girls to tools they need to reach their dreams!

Meet Costance! She is 12-years-old and a primary 3 student at Kutamba.

She lives in the village of Kirimbe with her mother and 5 other siblings.

YOU provide her and her family with the gift of choice! When she grows up she wants to be a teacher and the President. Why? Because she wants to look after her country. You are giving the tools so she can!

YOU inspire Costance. YOU give her books, meals, clean water, school supplies, an education and so much more, like bananas (her favorite food)! Costance wants to help her whole country just like YOU are helping her.

YOU should be proud. Costance loves to learn! In fact, it is her favorite part of school. She just can’t wait to progress to primary 4. It’s truly awe-inspiring to see!

So, meet future President Costance! She is going to do great things one day.

And it is all thanks to YOU!

YOU Area amazing!

YOU are making history for girls like Rosette!

After she lost her parents to HIV/AIDS, Rosette’s life could have been like many girls in Uganda. She would not have had the opportunity to go to school. She would probably have been married too young and started having children before she was ready.

Because of YOU, Rosette is in school and studying hard so one day she can be an engineer. She is working hard to show her community and herself that girls are capable, smart, and ready to be leaders in Uganda.

Because of YOU, Rosette had an opportunity to attend Robotics and Electronics Camp in Gulu where she learned about engineering and got to build her own robot!

YOU have opened doors for Rosette and other girls like her through your support.

I am in awe of YOU!

YOUR 2013 primary and secondary school graduates
YOUR 2013 primary and secondary school graduates

We join you in congratulating your Nyaka class of 2013!

78 students graduated from primary school and secondary school. Thanks to YOUR hard work and donations this was possible!

One of our graduates, Justine, has overcome very difficult and painful obstacles to achieve this accomplishment.

When Justine was in primary school, her dress caught on fire while she was lighting a lamp. Justine suffered through terrible burns on her face, arms, back, and chest.

Justine’s scars made her skin so tight, that she had trouble smiling and closing her eyelids. Through the support of people like YOU and the generous donation of The Shriner Hospital for Children in Boston, she was able to get the medical care she needed to keep her healthy and in school.

YOU have given Justine so much through your support and, because of YOU, Justine is standing proudly beside her peers as a strong woman ready to make an impact for her community.

There are more girls like Justine who are ready to change the world.

YOU are ensuring that they will.
