The overall objective of the project is to improve the education level in Mayuge District. The real objective of the project is to initiate and involve the community in advocating the support and education of children orphaned by HIV/AIDS by increasing enrolment of students in schools, to increase access to education especially girls, to improve the life condition of students through education and empower the households of the poor students economically. Blessed Echoes Children Alliance is a non for profit organization established in 2016 with main objective of improving the standard of living of Mayuge District. Despite the government program of Universal Pupil Education where education has been declared free, the level of education is still very low in the district and this is supported by the many children of school going age are not in schools. Although there are enormous child populations that need education, they can not all be absorbed in
The beneficiaries (the identified poor girls from the community ) will benefit from the project by being supported in paying for the school fees in selected schools, clothing, food at school and medical expenses. There will also be support in empowering the families of the poor girls by providing them with goats for rearing to support their families. The kids will be passed on to another family that did not benefit in the first plan and this plan will remain in force and will be sustainable.
The education support project will improve the education status of Mayuge District by reducing the illiteracy level of the area and also economically empowering the families of the beneficiaries. 500 and more poor girls will be kept in schools and reduce the number of drop out school of school going girls and completely eradicate the illitracy problem in Mayuge District and Uganda in general.
