Rise and Shine Association is located in Mbuya Kinawataka. We provide care and formal education to 70 children who have been either orphaned or under care of no/low income earning single parents and grandparents from the school going age of 3 years. We prepare the children for the next level of education. Uganda government provides Universal Primary Education (UPE) but before this level, there is no government aided education. We fill the gap. Parents as indirect beneficiaries are also helped.
The Uganda government provides Universal Primary Education (UPE) but before this level of education children attend pre-primary education. Rise and Shine comes in to fill the gap for children who cannot afford the cost of early childhood education. These are mostly AIDS orphans and children of single parents, old grand mothers who are non or low income earners. Maama Kasada at meeting wrote a letter and said " I am a single parent who used to work in quarry that stopped when owner sent us away"
You and your loved ones will help to care for the vulnerable orphaned children and children of poor single parents and old grand parents through provision of scholastic materials, uniforms, meals, medical care and transportation, first aid necessities. You will also provide quality teaching aids and outside classroom playing aids. You will provide clean water to 70 children and shelter by paying rent space for their classroom activities. You will help indirect beneficiaries and sustain project.
By mid 2014 Mbuya will have 70 healthy nursery going children. By 2016 you will have 70 children joining Primary schools to the next level of education. By end mid 2014 there will be a fully fledged playing ground with all playing aids installed. By end of 2014 new children will be enrolled for pre-primary education. By end of 2014 we will have a loan scheme from profits got from small projects you give initial capital, 50 more indirect beneficiaries as single, old grand parents will benefit
