After 24 years of war in Northern Uganda, poverty has continued to pervade the rural areas. Children in the rural areas of Northern Uganda have the highest levels of educational deprivation. There are high school dropouts and poor performance in the rural pre-primary, primary and secondary schools, with much pressure on children with disabilities, orphans and vulnerable children in the rural areas. This project will give a chance to these rural children to receive quality education.
The rural children of Northern Uganda have suffered enough because of the past war, and so this project provides academic materials, PTA school fees, school management trainings, children sports and games equipments, computers and computer trainings, school uniforms to orphans and vulnerable children and children living with disabilities. You can help us give a chance to brighten the future of these children through education.
The project will educate 1,500 children by providing essential school-related costs, particularly PTA fees and uniform costs, scholastic materials so that the costs of going to schools are not barriers to their enrollment and attendance. Improved monitoring and management of rural schools, strong vocational and technical training opportunities for rural children with disabilities, orphans and other vulnerable children.
This project has provided additional documentation in a DOCX file (projdoc.docx).
