Challenge

There are Thousands of people with mental illnesses in Sukhothai province who take medication from local hospital but no proper train program that can help them know how to live with illness. No, prevention support from government. They do not understand what is counseling ? what is their right ? They do not know how to eliminate discrimination and recovery. Thai Government do not release enough fund for me to do the program. They are less expertise to work with people with mental illnes

Solution

They understand their illness and know how to deal with it. They have their group to share, sympathy, empathy and they can advocate for each others. They able to get therapy and job recovery thought out the destigmatized program. They can work in community or go to big city to work and know how to take care themselves. Caregivers are understand their family member and know how to communicate effectively

Long-Term Impact

The community will not fear them as much as before get training. Because, I do psycho education for villager leaders. They can share their knowledge with their people that able to help the community understand and know how to treat people with mental illness fairy. Community will gain peacefulness and not fear with people with mental illness much as before got psycho education training.
