Summary

Our Project aims to transform Brazilian teenagers from poor communities in the leaders of the future by teaching them skills, attitudes and behaviors which can improve their chances to become an autonomous entrepreneur or a desirable employee who have social-environmental consciousness and emotional intelligence. To achieve this goal we will use efficient and powerful tools as workshops, video lectures, entrepreneurship exhibitions with the products and services developed by the teenagers.

Challenge

The biggest problem we want to fix is the lacking of interest of teenagers from the poor areas to stay at school by not seeing how the content will be able to help them in the professional future and, at the same time, by thinking that they need to skip school to dedicate their time to look for a job. Other recurrent problem observed along the 6 years of our Association existence is regarding the bad behavior of these teenagers with the parents, teachers and school mates.

Solution

EducaInnova Program have been developed over the past 2 years with great success based in the principles of neuroscience principles, emotional intelligence, entrepreneurship, applied science and innovation. In the method we show to teenagers how important is to study and how the content they learn can be applied not only for having good grades at school but to use this knowledge to solve problems as well and, in this way, to apply it to create a business by creating a new product or process,

Long-Term Impact

The entrepreneurial and emotional intelligence skills as self confidence, self stem and empathy associated with the entrepreneurial skills as leadership, persuasion, financial and business management will give the opportunity for the teenagers to generate revenue to their communities increasing the quality of life. At the same time they become more concern about the social-environmental care becoming a more civilized people and contributing to reduce the criminality levels as well.
