The vulnerability of most internally displaced women due to the ongoing Anglophone crisis which has degenerated into an armed conflict involving the state defense forces and the non state armed men is a call for concern. Because women by their nature are weak, it has been realized from a survey conducted that 75% of them are exposed to all forms of gender based violence most just because they don't have a means of survival. There is need for a positive economic intervention to better the case.
This project therefore aims to provide seed capital to 100 internally displaced women in Cameroon. Knowing that these women have escaped from their habitual residences to different towns and villages for safety, we have in consultation with them ear-marked to assist them with start-up capital for small income generating activities to enable them re-write their shattered life scripts. Your donation will enable these women maintain their hope and achieve their full potentials and dream again.
100 women will be directly empowered economically through this project with the establishment of businesses of their own. This project will take some of these women out the streets thus reduce the degree of gender based violence witness in these towns and villages. The project will inspire hope and confidence in women/girls thus, reducing gender gaps and inequalities as they will contribute to the growth of their family incomes.
