Dire Dawa is the most HIV/AIDS affected district in Ethiopia with high number of needy orphans Adequate Health care is not easily accessible and has high costs in this poor urban area; this project will working to make an impact, Orphans that are Well-nourished, learning & completing primary education, receiving appropriate health care, self reliance by targeting women and children with appropriate care (OVC), OVC care givers/guardians and PLWHA
there are currently 4,255 orphan and vulnerable children in the town of DireDawa alone, these OVC's are at risk of starvation,disease,HIV/AIDS inaction, school dropouts, criminal activities, sexual harassment and other things, as they are not stable in their economic and social life this project will affect more than 3000 Dire dawa OVC"s and their families
This project will support orphans by working through schools and community by providing Schools feeding programme, scholarships and provision of school supplies, counseling, medical care, training on HIV prevention and care, give micro grants to orphans' guardians to start businesses and provision of basic domestic needs.all activities are mentioned in the above and it will be the solution for OVC and their guardians
