Humanitarian Aid for West Sumatra Earthquake

by Centre for Community Development Studies (PUSPEM)

1. Introduction

Assistance that had been distributed by the government against earthquake casualties in the Bengkulu territory clearly all of a sudden did not make this community could increase the level of his life.

This reality was often experienced by PUSPEM when carrying out the visit to the location. Evidently still many communities that lived under the simple hut, but economically still could not satisfy all the requirements for his life.

This contribution meant so much for our family, because till now our father as head of household does not yet get the work that continues to so as to eat then very limited.

Different before the earthqukae, the father could be still working although his production a little, but was enough to be eaten every day.

And the contribution that was given by the government not yet equitable was distributed to the community, so as we still could not repair the house well.

Therefore, I said thank you to the Contribution GlobalGiving and was distributed through PUSPEM,” Erwin said, one of the earthquake casualties.
