Mokgopo creche and preschool will use Centre-based and home-based early learning project to train child givers, parents and ecd practitioners to provide free early learning programs for children who hail from the poorest families of society in Mokgopo village, also providing children with free nutritious meals three times a day.
There are currently more than 60 children at home with care givers not attending centre-based ecd programs. Unemployment is high affecting young girls and women. Poor families cannot afford to pay for centre-based programs. The project will train more than 50 care givers, parents and ecd practitioners to offer free home-based ecdprograms to children from poor families.Youth and women will get employment and will be able to support their families.
Mokgopo creche provides nutrition, health care to starving children. The children's mothers,care givers and ecd practitioners are trained in nutrition and child care. Ecd practitioners are also trained on early learning programs. Parent's support groups are trained on how to care and includes children with disabilities.
The project will train and educate 100 young girls and women allowing them care for their children, get employment, rise out of poverty, which will provide for their families and well-being of their children. Care givers and ecd practitioners will be trained allowing them to offer high quality earl learning programs to every child in the community.
