According to National Disaster Response Coordination Center (NDRCC), 21 districts of Bangladesh are most affected due to week-long monsoon rains in the upstream regions and throughout the country. Every day the number of affected area have been increasing. Most of the affected families lost their everything home, crops etc. The affected families are living on the road and trying to migrate different places. But, at this moment, we need emergency food, drinking water etc support to them.
Over 60,000 families in low-lying areas are marooned in their home or community shelters. The flood affected people became helpless. They have no permanent resident to live, they have no food and water to eat and drink. They have become the worst sufferer among the victims. The flood affected people need emergency support. If it is too late, the damage will go beyond imagination.
The proposed project will assist 50,000 flood affected people to have food packets, 2000 children to get milk and biscuits and 100 relief kits will be provided among 100 flood victim families at an emergency basis. So, the supported families will get some mental satisfaction and strength to fight with the burning situation.
Instant support from the proposed project will help the affected people to stable their mind set. It will bring them some short fighting spirit against the undergoing situation. The instant impact of the project will be feeding the hungry stomachs of flood victims. The major long term impact of our work will be leading people towards rehabilitation. Once people will get the emergency support (food), they will be able to think for their rehabilitation.
