TEPDGHO is seeking a grant in order to facilitate sign language training for parents/guardians of deaf people with the objective of helping deaf people to remove communication barrier between deaf people and their parents or guardians, Therefore the workshop will involve 490 participants from 4 different regions of Tanzania, Funding in the amount of $.7,373.is requested for running the training/Workshop.
Tanzania has more than 2490 deaf people who are from different regions within Tanzania but for the purpose of improving life and communication between deaf people and their parents/guardians the organization will involve 490 parents or guardians from different region within Tanzania which shows the highest level of discrimination.
The workshop will enable parents/guardians of deaf people to know their rights in proper communication and practical implementation of National and International conventions,Constitution and policies so that they will be able to participate fully in Planning, Making decisions, implementing, Monitoring, Evaluating all economic activities of the society and having strong participation.
