This project aims to provide meat from 225 cows to vulnerable Muslim families in refugee camps in North and East Kivu, Democratic Republic of Congo, during Eid Al-Adha 2025. Families, including those affected by conflict, displacement, and economic hardship, will receive portions of meat, ensuring they can celebrate Eid with dignity and happiness. By supporting those who rely on daily wages or donations, we hope to make this Eid special for those most in need.
Thousands of displaced families in North and East Kivu, DRCongo, struggle due to ongoing violence, economic hardship, and displacement, with over 800,000 refugees in camps like Goma in north kivu. Many rely on daily wages and donations to survive, especially those with disabled children or other vulnerable members. Eid celebrations are a luxury few can afford.
With your help, this project will provide essential Eid support by distributing meat from 250 cows to over 2,000 families in refugee camps. By providing this sustenance during Eid, we ensure that these families, despite their challenges, can experience a joyful and meaningful celebration. Your donation will contribute to their immediate relief and happiness.
This project will bring short-term relief by meeting immediate needs, but the impact extends further. By helping families celebrate Eid, we foster a sense of hope and belonging among displaced individuals, which can be crucial for long-term resilience. Supporting vulnerable families in DRCongo promotes their well-being, reducing hunger and improving mental health during challenging times.
