The DOGPAW Board is excited to be reviewing applications for several potential new board members. We are happy to have some new blood on the board. We are also canvassing for additional park managers to help cover different shifts at each of the parks.
DOGPAW had a very busy year making improvements to our five local off-leash dog parks. Lucky Dog Park in Brush Prairie has a beautiful new parking lot and enhanced trails. We are working on getting some new environmentally friendly kiosks at all of our parks. The upgrade of our waste receptacles has been completed at all of the parks and they should last for many more years than the old wood ones. We have also been fortunate to be recipients of much free bark and mulch this year from the County and local landscapers, etc.
Our lure course runs and membership drives brought in many new members this year and our Bark in the Park event was very successful, though wet. We will be developing and publishing our activities schedule after the first of the year.
Many thanks to our hard-working board members and park managers who have given many hours of their time to the benefit of our dog parks. And a huge thanks to all of our wonderful volunteers who give daily of their time to keeping our parks clean, safe, and attractive to our community.
