DOGPAW has been busy preparing for another great dog park year. We had a great turnout out our annual general membership meeting at the Heathman Hotel in April. Special guests included Paul Scarpelli, Animal Control Manager and Kyle Day with his newly retired K9 Officer Dingo.
DOGPAW Board Members and a few volunteers have already participated in the 50th Annual Hazel Dell Parade; the Walk for the Animals in support of the Humane Society of Southwest Washington for which we raised over $1,400; some membership drives and lure courses at our local dog parks; we've participated in the Hike on the Dike fundraiser for the West Columbia Gorge Humane Society; supported a Canines for Clean Water Pledge campaign at Dakota dog park; and are busy working on the planning of our new and improved annual fundraiser "Bark in the Park Canine Carnival" slated for August 2, 2014 at Ross Dog Park.
Our webpage has been revamped and is so much more user-friendly and easier to navigate. Check it out at: www.clarkdogpaw.org.
We are still looking for interested persons to volunteer to work with our group on maintaining and improving our organization and our community dog parks. Please consider donating some of your time to helping us. You can learn about opportunities for volunteering and complete our volunteer signup form on the webpage.
