2013 DOGTOBERFEST SUCCESS!!
Congratulations to everyone who supported, volunteered, and attended our 2013 Dogtoberfest event at Ross dog park on October 5th.  DOGPAW raised over $2,000 at this fundraising event.  This year’s event included the music of Don Campeau and some players of the Mother Joseph Academy Players band; a flyball demonstration; K9 Police demonstration; a great raffle; good food; an adoptable dog “strut”; a canine fashion pageant; and collection of a large barrel of food for Second Chance Companion’s AniMeals program for distribution to animals of Meals on Wheels recipients.  We had over twenty vendors and a full day of sunshine.  A great time was had by all.

DINGO RETIREMENT SUCCESS!!!
Congratulations to all the supporters of DOGPAW’s campaign to raise money to replace Washougal’s K9 Officer Dingo.  We successfully raised our goal of $15,000.  A check was presented to the Washougal Chief of Police at the Saturday, October 19th Dingo wrap-up celebration.  The celebration included recognition of three other K9 officers:  Dash, Ory, and Haulf representing the City of Vancouver, City of Battle Ground, and Clark County Sheriff’s Office.  As a special treat, the Washougal Chief of Police donned a “suit” for the first time ever and played “bad man” to a K9 recruit.

DOGPAW is a proud recipient of two local Eagle Scout projects.  Eric Brown built a new kiosk with bench for our small dog area at the Ross off-leash dog park (see picture), and Brady Schnell built two new double waste containers for our Stevenson off-leash dog park in Washougal.

DOGPAW's Webpage has been updated and recreated to make it more user-friendly.  We are very lucky and proud to work with David Bahena who is volunteering all of his time to work on this website for DOGPAW.  We are still working out a few bugs but we are excited to have such a great new webpage.  Please visit our webpage www.clarkdogpaw.org and Facebook and Twitter accounts.
