By Cindy Franke | President, DOGPAW
DOGPAW has been undergoing a change in leadership and launched a preliminary volunteer campaign that has brought in many dedicated volunteers. Along with the addition of many new volunteers we are reviewing and updating our website. Included will be a permanent volunteer sign-up program to build a powerful volunteer database.
We have recently partnered with Canines for Clean Water for poop pickup parties and educational opportunities at our dog parks. We have also partnered with the Parks Foundation of Clark County to broaden our exposure through fundraising event opportunities.
Our Annual General Membership meeting on March 9th was well attended and netted DOGPAW ~$400 after expenses. We had many very generous donors of auction items that brought in over $1,000. Among the attendees at our meeting was the founder of "Clark Bark Park" which preceded DOGPAW. The meeting was spiced up with dinner catered by the Spaghetti Factory and by the musical stylings of Mike Propsom.
