Looking Forward into 2018

Last year was a year of growing for DOGPAW Off-leash Parks. We aggressively campaigned to bring awareness to our community about the value of our community off-leash parks. Our Save DOGPAW $100,000 campaign was a success! We reached over $103,000!

In 2018 we are continuing our goals to build up community awareness and educate our DOGPAW guests on best practices in the dog parks. We have recently been working to help people understand that there are leash laws in our community that are in place for the safety of both dogs and people. Many of our local schools and people parks are having significant issues with off-leash dogs running in illegal areas. We plan to continue our work to educate dog owner on how to be a good citizen as our community grows.

We were also nominated as one of the top 10 off-leash areas in the Portland, Oregon metro area by Willamette Week. Our park managers have a lot of plans to upgrade our park trails this year along with ideas for more ways to improve the park experience and get our community involved.

We continue to maintain and work with local agencies to help improve our parks. Your donation helps provide clean, safe areas for dogs in the Vancouver, Wa, and Portland, Or areas to run and play off-leash.

Here is what people are saying about DOGPAW's parks:

"I've been to 3 of the dog parks maintained by the DOGPAW organization, and they are awesome! My favorite is the Lucky dog park because it's more open with an agility course. We also go to the Kane dog park, which has more trees and more secluded. They are kept in great shape, and I hope these parks continue to be kept up. Thank you so much for providing such great dog parks!!!" - Crystal

"Most amazing dog park ever! So many dogs off they're leashes everywhere, and you can tell they are happy and free! Clean and people were friendly!" - Jacqueline

"We took all 3 of our dogs to this park. It is absolutely the most beautiful setting. The park is immaculately clean, all dog owners were diligent about cleaning up after their pups, and across the board, both dogs and people were very friendly! Best dog park I've ever been to, and I've been to a lot!" - Lynsey
