DOGPAW is proud to welcome new volunteer Board members to our team. Mark Fruechtel will be coming on as President, Andy Ladick is our new Vice-President, and we have three other new board members to bring new life to our group. We are excited to work with these energetic new teammates.
We held our first membership drive of 2016 on March 19th at Dakota Dog Park. A big thank you to Andy Ladick and his wife Kimberly and Debra DeLong for their great work. We netted $700 through ten new memberships and many donations. We even put Sadie to work. We will be having several membership drives scattered through the parks at different days and times throughout the summer. Check our website for our event schedule.
Due to the sale of the land under our Stevenson Dog Park in Washougal, WA the DOGPAW board is actively working with county officials to locate usable land for a replacement dog park. The new land owners in Washougal have been very generous in allowing us to keep the dog park open as we locate land and resite our dog park. However, the Stevenson Dog Park will be closing its gates on November 1, 2016. We're hopeful to have a new park ready to open by then. In the meantime, we will be conducting some intensive fundraising campaigns to raise money for the construction of our new park.
Thank you for your continued support.
