Dog Food for Service Dogs that Serve Disabled Vets

by Feed the Dog

The costs to obtain and care for Service Dogs are not supported in a Veterans disability pay. Therefore, the expenses to maintain a Service Dog with dog food, grooming, veterinary care, training and supplies comes out of their own pocket. We, at Feed the Dog, Inc. believe that this poses an extraordinary burden on a Veteran's already limited finances. Your support will ensure that Service Dogs across America in the Feed the Dog, Inc. program receive quality food and the care they need.

Disabled Veterans simply do not have enough money to adequately take care of their Service Dogs. There are no benefits included in their disability pay to compensate for their care. This results in less than ideal situations and adds to the stress of a Veteran trying to manage many aspects of their own medical care plus the needs of the Service Dog.

By supporting Feed the Dog, Inc., we solve not only the financial problem of how to come up with the means to care for a Service Dog, but at the same time increase the quality of the dog's food by supporting them with only premium brands.

Long-Term Impact

This support, we believe will result in a healthier dog, that will be able to serve the Veteran better, which will reduce the stress from the Veteran's life altering injury, and add a level of comfort knowing that Americans are here and care for them.
