Project Green School ( PGS) is a strategic partnered schooling system with International Green School Society (IGSS) - USA and Scope India that provides a structured program for high-achieving, environmentally focused rural students to create extraordinary impact in schools, organizations, and communities and also advance their passion for preserving the environment through environmental service projects, leadership, and activism and funnel information, ideas, and opportunities.
Rural Students , especially in government schools in India, particularly in our project area lack skill, knowledge and hand holding support on 21st century skills on Innovation, STEM Education and pathway to green careers in their higher studies when compared to students in cities and with much privileged and rich children studying in Private Schools and also ponder way for better future in green careers and jobs. Hence this PGS Schools in selected 5 village on pilot basis is proposed.
PGS is focussed on individual and team environmental service projects. PGS encourages student members to design their projects around 21st Century Skills, innovation, and the development of skills to align with green careers and sustainability and environmental majors at the university level. PGS supports STEM, eSTEM, and STEAM projects, all of which are an essential part of environmental science, innovation in renewable energy resources, and other green and sustainable fields of study.
The potential long-term impact include enhanced knowledge and practice on Agriculture , Architecture ,Biological and bio-medical sciences, Computer and information sciences , Conservation , Engineering and engineering technology/technicians , Environmental health ,Health professionals and clinical sciences, Mathematics and statistics , Natural resources management, Physical sciences, Renewable energy, Sustainability, Waste management etc and next generation of environmental leaders developed.
