Disbursement details in the village Shehar and Harir bala (District Mansehra):
Village Shehar is situated in district Mansehra, this village is one of the earthquake affected areas.
After the disaster the living conditions of local people got below the survival line, to come out from these stressed conditions the only solution was to adopt a long term rehabilitation program which can benefit and empower women on urgent basis.
Since the area is very conservative the money was disbursed in the Islamic mod of finance to enable them to contribute to family income. As the people are interested in live stock therefore sheep, goats, cows and bufflows were purchased for 5 females (Families) cost 50,000 Rupees.
Harir bala village is situated in the district Mansehra and also one of the earthquake affected areas, 40,000 Rupees were disbursed among the 4 females (Families) for the same purpose.
After the disbursement now the families are benefited in two ways, Firstly they are using the milk for domestic needs and secondly it is sold in exchange of money.
Though a slow process but it is contributing in the uplifting the economic status of community women and in long term empowering them.
