Dare to Care Kentucky COVID-19 Response (46424)

Dare to Care is using these generous gifts from GlobalGiving donors to support the increased need of food across Kentuckiana and help implement new service models aimed to keep staff, volunteers, and clients safe as we responded to the COVID-19 crisis. This funding was contributes to food purchases, including fresh produce, supplies to food distribution, program management, warehousing of food, and delivery of food.

We are pleased to share the following accomplishments thanks to GlobalGiving and other generous donors:

23,475,000 pounds of food distributed through 300 partners, thanks to the help of 877 Dare to Care volunteers contributing 5,431 hours.
4,256,069 pounds of food delivered to targeted neighborhoods through 64 monthly Mobile Pantry and Get Fresh stops.
165,873 meals provided to children by our Community Kitchen and 344,011 pounds of food distributed through 64 School Pantries.
22.5% more food distributed in 2020 than during this time period last year, thanks to the support of our generous community.
