In 2022, The Gobs children's Foundation started its campaign to mitgate cancer among people living with albinism. 4 cryoguns machines where secured from different sources and given to the different points that are close to the benificiaries.
Nama wellness community health centre, Albisim Umbrella, net work of people living with albinism in eastern region, got some of the cryoguns.
This is helping to make the cryoguns get closer to the people who need them.
This year the Foundation is igniting the campaign again to get more cryoguns as well carry out a number of outreaches to different regions that cant access them.
Before these cryoguns were secured, Uganda had only one cryogun owned by SNUPA , and now we are having 5 in the country. This is a very big step to help fight cancer among people living albinism.

In the Begining of the year, it was a time of thinking about people living with albnisim. The journey to halt cancer amongest people living with albinism has gone better and better every day.
Awareness about this problem was done across media houses in Uganda, which was followed by the media press conference.
This made the awareness come alive, on 17th Sept we were able to give away the four machines to various organisations including albnisim umbrella and Mt. Elgon albinism platform.
We are continuing to create awareness in Uganda for people to know that we need more cryoguns to support people with albinism.
The next steps we also look forward to support in the development of a sustainble method to support all the centres that will have cryoguns with continious availability of liquid nitrogen that is required for the cryoguns to operate and help the process of halting cancer amongst people living with Albnisi.
Nawec is also planning to have these machines to support the patients.
