10 unemployed women in Pamir discrete Bartang will receive salary. Every family consist of 8-10 members and lives on pension or money from migration. If 10 women receive jobs, that will mean 100 people will exit poverty trap. Will be built a workshop for processing wool. The product will be perfectly ecologically clean, and will demanded in the market. In 2 years, the number of women in the workshop will increase to 20 women, which will have an impact on poverty reduction in the region.,
Because of the geographical remoteness, Bartang is one of the poorest regions in Tajikistan. Men leave for migration, while women are mostly unemployed. Infrastructure is weak, industrial facilities do not exist which is the reason for high unemployment. Many villages received electro energy few years ago. During winter, because of the snow most part of the road is closed and during summer, because of flood. Women from Bartang are well known for their skills of making tradition woollen socks.
The project will build a workshop for processing wool and obtaining yarn. Further, they will be making famous Pamiri traditional woolen socks and souvenirs from wool. Since the number of tourists visiting Pamir is increasing every year, the manufactured products can bring good revenue for the women that will be working in the workshop. It is important to mention that the project will buy wool from the local households, which will bring additional revenue tothe families that live in the region
The project will solve poverty in 10 families and will open access to education, health care and many other services for low-income families. Nowadays, many people in Bartang cannot receive education because of the financial issues, cannot feed their children well, and do not have access to quality medicine. Getting employed many women will have the opportunity to improve the life of their families, will have the chance to give education to their children and receive medical services on time
