Dear Amazing Leadership Initiatives Supporter,
The community owned businesses you have created over the past decade continue to grow and sponsor new businesses in the developing world. I am honored to announce that in 2016 we are creating 4 new women-owned businesses and 16 new businesses.
10 years ago, having a fourth of new businesses being owned by women would have been impossible. But because of your continued support, the communities we work in continue to break down new barriers and transform hundreds of lives.
Today I am honored to tell you the story of Rachael and her new Yogurt business!!! Again made possible because of your dedication to creating a better world.

Business Goals: To produce high quality yogurt and expand distribution across Bauchi.
About The Business: Yogurt’s role in the Nigerian diet has created a high demand for the product in many Nigerian communities. Rachael capitalized on this demand by opening up her own yogurt production business, which has began to earn a strong reputation. Her business supplies yogurt to many local shops, where many people purchase her products. Rachael’s successes have inspired her to continue to expand her business to new distributors and hire more employees.
Community Impact: Rachael is an active member of her community; she contributes by creating jobs and providing employment for hardworking individuals. Rachael has been able to employ three young people, giving them a means to fund their own education and support their families.
About The Owner: Rachael learnt to make fresh yogurt drinks from her home economics class in school. She began making them for special events; however, after her secondary school education, she transformed her hobby into a full time business.
Rachael is a highly driven young woman who is passionate about her business. She always seeks ways to stand out from her competition with new recipes and special deals. Moreover, her business has given her the opportunity to take care of herself and help her parents provide for her three younger brothers.
