Dear Green Rhinos Supporter,

The team of Green Rhinos is getting stronger!

Three hundred more Green Rhinos have joined the team from six new schools in Bhitarkanika Wildlife Sanctuary.

Some of the project outcomes of the Green Rhinos teams are:

  • 400 trees planted in the villages where the Green Rhinos live and spreading awareness on the ill effects of deforestation among 700 people in the villages.
  • 250 families of four villages are using bio fertilizers as far as possible.
  • Awareness campaigns in 8 villages on the negative environmental effects of using plastic.  300 families are now using cotton bags instead of plastic bags.
  • Village cleaning program in two villages. Awareness campaign in 3 villages to keep the villages clean and pollution free.

Our network is extending to protect the wildlife and nature of northern West Bengal in India. We will be working with four schools in the forest fringe areas of Jaldapara National Park and Gorumara National Park.

Thank you for your continued support to create Green Rhinos – the youth nature leaders who are making our planet a better place to live in.

With gratitude,

Diti
