Imagine a world that is income secure, what are the chances that this world would be food insure or with an ill-health population? To put this into perceptive, individuals in African townships never do farming but never go nights on hungry stomachs. This is so because they have good incomes enough to afford the next meal, visit a good clinic and send their children to school. On the other, our very hard working brothers, mothers, sisters, or grands in the rural settings cannot afford a good meal, good medical services or good education for their children.
Why?
To achieve food security, medical security as well good shelter or education requires first achieving income security. The west (Americas and Europe) understands this and that is why western populations embrace donating as means of raising income to initiate development projects for the least privileged. This is more of a facilitative approach (give a population support that is intended to stimulate entrepreneurship and then go on to offer backstopping to ensure sustainability). That is our drive as FOSAA.
