Pakistan Against Covid-19 - Volunteers (PAC-V) is a group of just over 500 engineers, funders, digital entrepreneurs and others who are dedicating their time and skill to producing an ICU grade ventilator and other essential personal protective equipment. They are based in hubs in Islamabad, Karachi and Lahore. Support their project to produce low-cost, high-value medical equipment.
The number of coronavirus cases in Pakistan is complicated by a shortage of test kits. As of April 7 there were more than 1000 confirmed cases of Covid-19 and cases were expected to rise dramatically. The country is in need of large quantities of ventilators and other essential medical equipment.
The Pac-V volunteer effort is contributing to critical supplies at Pakistan's public hospitals by 3D printing urgent ventilator parts and producing other emergency equipment.
