This project has the objective of providing monthly emergency food bags including non-perishable food items, cleaning supplies, diapers and personal care products to 850 low-income families and their children (approximately 5,000 people) that will face hunger during the COVID-19 Pandemic in Buenos Aires, Argentina
Today, 1 out of every 2 children in Argentina lives in poverty, every 8 minutes a kid drops school, 2 out of every 10 teenagers are indigent, 46% of adults live in poverty or social inequality, and 15% of the population does not have access to drinking potable water. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic that caused school closures, job disruptions, and health risks; millions of low-income families will suffer from hunger .
By following the government's pandemic health guidelines, we have developed a system to hand out one emergency bag per month to each family aiming to face hunger during this uncertain time.
This project's goal is to feed 850 families (5,000+ people) for two months, not only by allowing them to rise out of hunger during COVID-19 pandemic but also by providing support in health and well-beign matters.
