Today we have good news!
The epidemiological situation in nursing homes is improving now. The number of infection cases is constantly on the decline.
Some nursing homes in Moscow region allowed our volunteers to visit their elderly friends. They haven't seen each other for almost a year!
The volunteers were able to congratulate them personally with the upcoming holidays and to give them flowers and gifts.
Nursing homes, which are still closed, participate in our online concerts, virtual excursions and master classes.
We also continue to supply medicines and equipment to those nursing homes where people are still sick.
This all became possible thanks to your support and the wonderful team of the GlobalGiving project.
We will continue to help out with medicines, equipment and personnel. The number of cases of COVID-19 is constantly growing, so we continue to supply medicines and equipment for the recovery of patients in nursing homes.
We found additional staff, hired and paid for the work of nurses and doctors who came to replace the sick staff members.
We understand that it is very important to provide not only medical and daily care, but also to prevent the development of depression and fear, to provide leisure.
That is why we started to develop a project in which our volunteers support and entertain the elderly through video communication. We purchased computers and WiFi routers and delivered them to more than 80 nursing homes. We held mass events and tried to especially support those who are experiencing lack of communication and need extra support.
In addition, we made sure that the elderlies are able to communicate with relatives on a regular basis via the Internet.
This all became possible thanks to your support and the wonderful team of the GlobalGiving project.
Next year we will continue helping out with medicines, equipment and personnel. We will provide the opportunities to arrange video communication in the nursing homes lacking it – so that we all together with our wonderful volunteers’ team could help the elderlies to survive the pandemic with everlasting hope and upbeat mood, whatever comes. Concerts, master classes, workout sessions and other exciting events are awaiting them.
Happy New Year! We wish you a healthy, peaceful and successful year ahead!
Thank you for being with us!
Always yours,
The "Enjoyable Ageing" team.
