I want to share with you the status of the Youth Connected: Education and Digital Inclusion project.
The last report, in december 2020, I shared with you the lack of support for this project. But, fortunately, things have changed. I have great news this time!
We started the project this year, thanks to a donor that sponsored the whole project for a year. This means that 45 young people aged from 15 to 21 are going to receive support with social and technological tools for the insertion protagonism and autonomy.
This is a great news, isn’t it?
I also want to share with you that this is the last report for this project. As the sponsor is an institution we do not feel comfortable to keep this project opened to receive donations on GlobalGiving.
I hope you can support other social projects. We still need donations to support nano entrepreneurs through ManaMano project, a project that us, from Dara Institute, implement in partnership with the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro and several fellows from the global network of social entrepreneur Ashoka.

I want to share with you the status of the Youth Connected: Education and Digital Inclusion project.
We launched this project in order to support the youth from Rio de Janeiro favelas to face the new challenges of poverty deepped by the effects of COVID-19.
The social distance imposed by the pandemic aggravates the social inequality, especially in regards to young people. This project is going to support 45 young people aged from 15 to 21 with social and technological tools for the insertion protagonism and autonomy.
The project guarantees one year of access to the internet combined with educational orientation and psychological support. We want to pave the way for a new future with more opportunities based on human rights, professional skills, and youth empowerment.
Although, we did not receive financial support yet. We are still looking for sponsors in order to change the life of 45 young people from Rio de Janeiro favelas and their families. Please, if you can, make a donation and share this project with your friends and family.
Together we can build a new year with lots of opportunities for the most vulnerable.
